Jennifer A. Sealey-Voyksner
received her honours B.Sc. in Chemistry at McMaster University
in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1987 and her M.S. at the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. She is currently working
towards finishing her Ph.D. at UNC-Chapel Hill. On staff with
the Ontario Ministry of the Environment from 1987 to 1996, Jennifer
was responsible for developing separation and mass spectrometric
methods for the detection and analysis of environmentally significant
compounds in all types of environmental matrices, under EPA
regulations. From 1996 to 1999 she worked for Purdue Pharma
and Boehringer Ingelheim, responsible for developing mass spectrometric
methods for the analysis of new drug candidates in biological
matrices under FDA's GLP regulations. As an auditor, working
with private laboratories within the USA and Canada she has
conducted system, product and analytical testing performance
audits, as well as coordinated routine and research sample analysis
under GLP and cGMP regulations.
Over her academic and working career, Jennifer has traveled
throughout Canada, USA, Europe, Australia and Asia, working
with University, Government and private laboratories. She has
employed HRGC/MS and HPLC/MS techniques on quadrupoles, sectors
and ion trap mass spectrometers for positive and negative ion
detection for specific compounds in both environmental and biological
matrices. She is a certified quality auditor and a certified
ISO 9000 lead auditor.
Jennifer is a co-owner of the independent consulting business
and laboratory, "LCMS Limited", situated in Durham, NC, USA,
where she is involved in solving environmental and pharmaceutical
problems using various chromatographic and mass spectrometric
techniques under EPA/GLP guidelines.
